Just had to share

This is a fun scrapbook page my friend from AZ did. She is so talented and always makes the cutest pages and cards. She even designs for a couple of websites. It was fun to see what she did with the pictures of us when we were there in Feb. More pictures to come after my visit next week!!

Kyson starts Kindergarten!

Kyson was over the top excited to finally start school. He had his clothes picked out the night before and bounced out of bed nice and early. And two weeks into it. . . the excitement hasn't diminished at all!

First Day of School

Here are the pictures from the first day of school for the older kids. They all had their clothes layed out the night before. Kaden doesn't know I took a picture of his clothes and I didn't even try to get a picture of him. . . he is 13 after all.

Two Wheels

After hearing that all of his friends were riding their bikes without training wheels, Kyson decided it was time to learn. This came as quite a surprise to us because he really didn't ride his bide WITH training wheels, his scooter was his mode of transportation. So the last week of August, with help from his siblings, he was riding in about 30 minutes and hasn't stopped since. He now tries to do tricks and rides down the "hill of death" (our front yard).

Kyson's Birthday

Ya, this is late, but remember I couldn't sit at the computer very long for the last week or so. So I am catching up on the events of our house since then.
We celebrated Kyson's birthday on Sat. Aug. 30th (the 31st is his b-day). We started out with breakfast at McDonald's, then home to finish preparation for his party. We decided to have an outside water theme with water balloons, slip and slide, and a small swimming pool. Water plus 8 boys equals crazy and fun. We only had one injury (thankfully stitches weren't needed) and they had tons of fun. Oh and a pinata! And lots of sugar. . . I'm sure the parents loved that when their kids came home.

I'm Back

After a week of not being able to sit very long, I am excited to be able to sit here and blog. There are many things I want to post, but will start with a small update. Some how I managed to hurt my lower back and really couldn't function much. Thankfully my kids and husband have picked up the slack around the house. And yesterday my Dr. figured out the problem and fixed it, so I am on the mend. Yea!
Kaden has had two more CC meets. Last Friday they traveled to Fairmont. Right after he finished his race he called me all excited. He had ran it in 13.10! He was the fourth Century team member to finish so was able to score some points for the team. Then last night they had a race here, and it was a hilly 5K. His first 5k. He ran it in about 24 min., I haven't heard the exact time. But the amazing thing is that he loved it! He said it was hard but during and after the race he "felt so healthy and alive." I don't think I would be saying that during or after a 5k!
